Container securing equipment for COSCO 10,000 TEU New Building Series

German Lashing has received the order for the supply of loose and fixed container securing equipment for a series of largest post-Panamax vessel ever built, each with a capacity of 10,000 TEU.
In total, COSCO signed a contract for four 10.000 TEU vessels, built at the Nantong COSCO KHI (NACKS) yard in China. The delivery for the first vessel is scheduled for the first half of 2008 and the other 3 sister vessels will be put into service at a certain interval not later than the mid of 2009.

The main dimensions of the vessel are an overall length of 348.5 m, a breadth of 45.6 m and a draught of 14.2 m. Together with the container stowage capacity of up to 8 tiers / 18 rows on deck and up to 10 tiers / 16 rows in hold, it reflects the next imposing step in the market of mega container carrier.
